I know your home is not a number on the mailbox, and not just a building. It is a place to grow, to love and to learn. I wake up every day and get to help my clients with their homes by solving problems, providing advice and education, and making a complicated process more enjoyable. My daily goal is to help you reach yours, which is why I am in business. Raised in a real estate family, I have been working in the business since the early 90’s. I started as an unlicensed assistant for Sandy Garner, then took a few years off to raise my family, and returned to real estate as a licensed agent in 2002. In January of 2017, I became co-owner of the business with Sara LaFaver and Erica Davis. We are very excited to grow Harcourts The Garner Group, together. My background has allowed me to become one of the top producing agents in the Bend real estate market, and across the west coast, for both new construction and total residential sales. I was blessed to achieve the #1 Sales Agent for Harcourts USA for 2018, 2020 and 2021. Born and raised in Central Oregon, I consider the region’s culture an integral element of my life. I believe in giving back to the community I love, and I am active in community affairs. I am a member of City Club of Central Oregon, the Bend Chamber, and I am an alumnus of the Leadership Bend Class of 2016. With my husband Dan, I enjoy fishing, reading, knitting, swimming, traveling and spending time with my family and friends. I have two fantastic kids, Lindsay and Ben. Ben and his wife Jordan just had our first grandchild, Abel. We are all so excited that our family is expanding. Through my career, I have earned the following professional designations; NAR Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), GREEN Broker, and Earth Advantage Broker. https://youtu.be/xBz76CQsL2k https://youtu.be/2G-4F2Yo9_c ---- Favorite Phrase: Don’t get in your own way! I love being a real estate broker. The relationships I have cultivated over my 42 years in Bend, combined with my knowledge of the Central Oregon real estate market make it a perfect fit for me. I joined Harcourts The Garner Group in Bend because of the impeccable reputation and wealth of knowledge that comes with working for the 2017 Realtor of the Year (COBA). Having the resources of The Garner Group enables me to provide my clients no less than exceptional service and commitment at every level throughout any real estate transaction. Whether buying or selling, my clients get my full attention to ensure a smooth process. I was raised in Bend and attended Thompson, Kenwood, Cascade, and Mountain View, followed by COCC. I had the opportunity to drive for UPS for 14 years and established many long term friendships through my daily deliveries and pick ups. UPS allowed me to grow my route through its business development incentive program. My friendships and relationships cultivated more business for me and a better product and more business for my customers as well. My love of photography has evolved into a business over the last 6 years, photographing everything from families to real estate to local events. Using long standing relationships and friends as well as many new ones, I’ve been able to do something I love for work. I’ve also had the honor of volunteering my photography for the Education Foundation for Bend-LaPine Schools and BendFilm. My true love is spending time with my family, we enjoy traveling but also like to explore our own backyard, spending time outdoors, whether it’s skiing, golfing, camping or just taking a walk. I appreciate the beauty of our area and feel lucky to live in such a beautiful place. I hope when you’re considering buying or selling real estate in Central Oregon you will think of me and Harcourts The Garner Group for all of your needs. ---- Favorite movie Shawshank Redemption Favorite food Fried Chicken Sandwich Have you ever met anyone famous? My secret talent is Given the opportunity, I can complete a 1,000 piece jig-saw puzzle in less than a day. Don’t tell anyone, but ________ always makes me cry. The movie Homeward Bound. I watched it countless times as a kid and cried every time. A few years ago I saw it on Netflix, and figured I could watch without crying as an adult. I was wrong. Favorite food: That’s easy. Tacos. Hands down. Have you ever met anyone famous? Not necessarily met, but had an awkward/embarrassing encounter. In college, my now husband, Dakota, and I, were in Seattle for the Supercross race. We were leaving the pit area (where all the riders are staged before and after the race) and there were tons of people everywhere. I looked toward Dakota and noticed he was about to walk right into a guy, so I quickly grabbed his arm to pull him out of the way, but was too late. They bumped into each other and as they hit, I shockingly said “Oh my gosh! It’s Chad Reed!” (a long time and well known racer). I’m not one to get star struck by any means, but with the hundreds of people around, the whole situation caught me off guard. Chad immediately looked at us at the whole encounter, laughed, and mocked me in a high pitched girly voice.
